July Sephora Haul Unboxing

Sephora July Haul Good evening everyone!!!

The title of this blog post is a bit of a cheat since I only purchased two different shades of the same product and then scored a whole bunch of free samples, but I still wanted to do a little unboxing haul to show how nicely Sephora ships out their products and how adorable and incredible some of the samples are.

Make Up For Ever multi-use powder foundationSo the two products I purchased were the Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation in shades 110 Pink Porcelain and 113 Nude Porcelain. 113 is available in Sephora stores and I have been using and loving it ever since I first tried it way back in June 2015, and reviewed it here on my blog. However, I have been wondering if maybe it is a bit too yellowish for my skin tone and I wanted to try out the lightest shade, 110, but 110 is only available online, or maybe in some stores but not in the Sephora near me. I couldn’t judge the shades very well online so I ordered both, thinking I would immediately be able to tell which shade would be best for me when they arrived. Well, no such luck because I unpacked them only to find I could see a difference but still couldn’t decide which would be best.

Just a little shout-out to Sephora here because I love their product return policy because you can actually try out the product and then return it if it doesn’t work for you. So, I tried out both shades and I have decided to stick with the nude porcelain, partly for ease of purchasing because I don’t necessarily want to order online all the time and partly because the pink tones would be nice for a summery pink look but might not be as versatile as the nude porcelain in the autumn and winter.

And now for all the samples:

Fresh deluxe samples
From left to right: Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment, Sugar Face Polish, Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil

At the time that I placed my order, Sephora was offering a promotion where I could pick three deluxe samples of Fresh products for free. I love the brand Fresh, so I went with an old favourite and two products I have been dying to try. My favourite Fresh product is the Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment. I started using this way back in high school and it is the most hydrating and sweet-smelling lip balm I have ever used. I get very chapped lips in the winter and this just makes my lips kissably soft. The two new products are the Sugar Face Polish (125 g $62), which is a nourishing natural exfoliant made with real strawberries (including the seeds!!!) and brown sugar that polishes away dry, dull skin, and the Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil (full size 50mL $52) that contains omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9 and pure oils to preserve youthful skin. Because of how expensive Fresh products are, I am so happy I was able to get some deluxe size samples so I can try them out and see if they are worth purchasing.

Then, as my three free samples that come with every Sephora order, I selected Benefit’s Goof Proof Brow Pencil, NARS Orgasm Blush, and Tatcha Balanced pore perfecting water gel moisturizer.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow PencilThe Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil (full size $30) is a product I have been hearing a lot about recently, and something that I am in desperate need of. My brows do not have that sought-after arch, which is fine, but when I get all dolled up for a night out or something, they just look a little bit sad. The nice thing about this product is that it has a wide tip to fill in brows and a pointed end to define the tail of your brows. This has made my brows stand out so much more and have given them the little helping hand they needed. I was sent shade 03 Medium.

NARS Orgasm BlushThe NARS Orgasm blush (full size $38) is a product people have been raving about for years now, and I have actually never tried it. I love blush palettes more than getting just one shade in a pan, but this is a shade has been hailed as a cult beauty product so I felt I should give it a go. It is a gorgeous warm pink shade with golden shimmer highlights. What I really like about it is that it is really hard to over-apply it because the pink hue does not build up but the shimmer does, leaving a nice golden glow.

Tatcha Balanced Pore Perfecting Water Gel Moisturizer Tatcha is a brand I had not heard of before but I am always game to try international beauty brands. This japanese skin care and beauty brand combines the ancient wisdom of geisha beauty with the modern skin care regimen. The Balanced Pore Perfecting Water Gel Moisturizer (full size 50mL $68) offers oil-balancing hydration, making it great for oily skin, a rare find. Also, this moisturizer includes a dust of 23k gold. That’s right, gold, delivering a shine-free glow. After trying this, I found that my pores looked a lot smaller and tighter, and it wore really well under my makeup.

My Top 5 Red Lipsticks for Canada Day

Image from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Canada
Image from wikipedia.org
Happy Canada Day everyone!!!

For those of you who may not know, I am Canadian, born and raised. Neat, eh??? All Canadian jokes aside, I love this country and, not to bore anyone with a whole history lesson, but I think it’s important to understand the importance of holidays.

Canada Day is a Federal statutory holiday that commemorates the anniversary of the enactment of the British North America Act, now called the Constitution Act, on July 1st, 1867. This Act united the four British North American colonies of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario (formerly Upper Canada in the Province of Canada), and Québec (formerly Lower Canada in the Province of Canada) into a federation of four provinces comprising a single country within the British Empire. This made The Dominion of Canada a kingdom in its own right, but the British government still kept some rights of political control until 1982.

Across Canada, the holiday is observed through social gatherings like barbeques, parties, and downtown celebrations complete with fireworks at which people typically dress up in red and white attire. So, to celebrate this holiday on my little blog here, I thought I would share with you my top 5 favourite Canada Red lipsticks.

1. Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in Matte Crimson $21

This lipstick is formulated to be long-wearing without drying or feathering, so the colour stays on for hours with a soft matte finish. This is ideal for spending the day celebrating downtown with little opportunity for touch-ups.

2. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella $33

This is a darker shade of red, and doesn’t last quite as long but is super easy to apply, with or without a mirror, so it is another great choice to wear when out and about on Canada Day.

3. BITE Beauty Matte Crème Lipstick in Mulled Maple $28

This is the darkest red shade I have worn on Canada Day, but it is particularly close to my heart given BITE Beauty is a Canadian company, and this lipstick was part of their limited edition Canadian-exclusive Maple Collection. This shade is the same as Black Cherry from the US-exclusive Frozen Berries collection. However, this one has a sweet maple scent and a subtle sweet taste, making it extra Canadian. It offers high pigmentation, moisturization, and longwearing colour with a velvet glossy finish. Unlike other BITE Beauty lipsticks, this one does not last quite as long, so this will require the odd touch-up throughout the day.

4. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Intense Long-Wear Lip Colour in La Fascinante $37

This non-drying matte shade is luxurious lipstick at its finest. It glides on during application, boasting sumptuous, highly pigmented colour, and stays on for hours with few to no touch-ups. This is the lipstick I wear if I want to class things up a bit for Canada Day.

5. Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick in Kiss of Life $6.98

This is my newest addition to my list of Canada Day lipsticks. I picked this up earlier this month and discussed it in my Drugstore Haul post, but it is a lovely, rich matte red shade that does not smudge or bleed throughout the day. While it does not last as long as the other lipsticks in this list, it is definitely the most affordable and easy to find in any drugstore.

What red lipstick are you sporting this Canada Day???         Blog logo

A Little Drugstore Beauty Haul

 Well hello there 🙂 🙂

I can’t remember the last time I went shopping for beauty products, but last week I stopped into the drugstore and came across a few beauty products on sale that I wanted to try.

img_1675While wandering the aisles, I came across the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss lipsticks. I have never tried Rimmel’s lipsticks before but these were half price and I adore the shades. I picked up 107 Rossetto and 111 Kiss of Life, which I swatched to show just how gorgeous the shades really are. These lipsticks are said to deliver high intensity colour for up to 8 hours, and they live up to this. I wore Rossetto to work a few days last week and left 8 hours later with the same coat of lipstick, with minimal fading of the colour. Plus, the lasting power is unaffected by eating or drinking, so minimal to no touch-ups were required. Each of these lipsticks was CAN $4.99, which is a bloomin’ good price, especially for lipsticks that are such beautiful shades and last so long.

I also purchased the limited edition NYX Dream Catchers Dusk Til Dawn Palette. This features a range of 10 nude eyeshadow shades that can be blended and layered to create a wide variety of makeup looks. I have been using this palette for the last week and so far I am really impressed by the high pigmentation. I would definitely recommend a primer though to increase the staying power. NYX also released two other 10-shadow palettes titled Golden Horizons and Stormy Skies. The former has a lot of golden shades, while the latter has mostly cool-toned shades. The palette was CAN $20, which is a bargain for a palette given the price of some of the other palettes out there, and I will wear all of the shades.

Bumble and bumble Shampoos

img_1369

Good morning all!!!

I realized the other day that I have not done a review post in far too long and, with the perfect outdoor lighting for photographs, I thought I would finally post about the Bumble and Bumble shampoos that I have been loving for the past few months.

Before I get into my thoughts on the three Bumble and bumble shampoos that I have been using, I wanted to write a little bit about the brand itself. Bumble and bumble was founded as a New York City salon in 1977 by Michael Gordon. The brand has become renowned for its hair salons, design school and amazing lines of stylist-inspired, editorial-quality products. My one complaint about the brand is that it tests on animals, probably because it is owned by Estée Lauder Companies.

Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Shampoo

img_1372This multitasking sulphate-free shampoo is the first Bb shampoo that I tried. I came across it in a three-product travel-size pouch in a Sephora in Paris after the hotel shampoo was starting to seriously dehydrate my hair. I was able to try the shampoo, conditioner and heat/UV protective primer for a solid week and the range completely transformed my hair. According to Bb, this shampoo is formulated with six feather-light oils to make hair smoother, softer, and silkier, while taming frizz and protecting against breakage from heat and UV radiation, all while not weighing down hair. This shampoo has a very fruity scent that I am obsessed with because it is so lovely and fills up the entire shower. This shampoo is available in two sizes: a 2oz bottle for CAN $14, and an 8.5oz bottle for CAN $38, perfect for traveling.

Thickening Shampoo

img_1374This is the second Bb shampoo that I tried. I was finding the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil formula to be very nourishing and hydrating, but prolonged use left my hair feeling flat. This shampoo is lightweight and serves the dual function of moisturizing hair and sealing split ends, while also building body to add fullness to fine or limp hair. Bumble and bumble describes it as “ideal for fine, thinning, limp, or flyaway hair,” which perfectly describes how my hair was feeling. This shampoo is also compatible with colour-treated hair, thank goodness. For best results, it is recommended that this shampoo is paired with the rest of the Thickening range including the conditioner, serum, and hairspray. I have only tried the shampoo but it worked wonders on my fine hair. The shampoo is actually available in three sizes: a 2oz bottle for CAN $11.50, an 8oz bottle for CAN $29, and a 33.8oz bottle for CAN $74. I know the latter seems like a ridiculous amount of money to pay for shampoo, but it has done amazing things for my hair and I find it lasts months and months so, broken down, the cost is equivalent to the number of shampoo bottles purchased from other brands.

Straight Shampoo

img_1377This sulphate-free shampoo is designed to reduce frizz and tame flyaways. It features Concen-straight Technology®, formulated to smooth and soften curly, thick, and unmanageable hair. While my hair is neither curly or unmanageable, I have pesky hairs that pop out the top of my head, irking me to no end, and this shampoo does a wonderful job of keeping them flat. Also, this shampoo is safe for colour-treated hair. The only downside to this one I can find is that it is only available in one size, an 8.5oz bottle for CAN $38, which is not ideal for traveling, but will still fit nicely into checked baggage.

All of these shampoos have similar suggested uses, specifying that a little goes a long way so only a small dollop is needed to fully clean hair. Also, by applying the shampoo only to the scalp and roots of hair, the rest of the hair strands are cleaned once the shampoo is rinsed out, running down the strands.

img_1381While it is recommended that each shampoo be used with additional products from the same line, I prefer to use the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Conditioner after washing my hair with all three of the shampoos mentioned above. It is formulated with the same light oils as the shampoo, helping to make hair softer and smoother, while also taming frizz and protecting against breakage. This conditioner is safe for colour- and chemically-treated hair, and is available in two sizes: a 2oz bottle for CAN $14 and a 6.7oz bottle for CAN $42. This may seem expensive to some, but this is the only full-size bottle I have purchased to date and I have been using it after every wash for a good 6 months already. Like the shampoos, a little goes a long way so only a small dollop is needed.

Have you tried any shampoos, conditioners, or other hair products from Bumble and Bumble??? Which formula is your favourite???

Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm

img_0419 img_0426 6a98d1b7-2fc9-4ef7-8e6d-73fbe022a278 Well hello there 🙂 🙂

With all the hullabaloo of the final week of university, I really haven’t been putting in enough time on this blog, which saddens me because blogging is something I love doing. I am so appreciative of those of you who do enjoy what I write because it gives me this sense of community when I am studying at my desk with my cat as my only form of social interaction. I am also grateful to those of you who stick around even when university gets busy and my posting becomes sporadic. But today, I wanted to get back into the blogging groove and do a traditional product review post of something I have become rather fond of: Clinique’s Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm.

Features

  1. 2-in-1 sugar scrub and tinted lip balm
  2. Sugar scrub delicately exfoliates and smoothes lips
  3. Lip balm hydrates and nourishes dry, cracked lips
  4. The perfect size to keep in a purse
  5. Available in six shades: Red Velvet, Orange Blossom, Candied Cassis, Pink Framboise, Sweet Rose, and Citron Bleu

I mentioned these little numbers way back in February in my then-recent Clinique haul post, and I have been using them quite a bit since then. I picked up Sweet Rose and Citron Bleu because I wanted to try a sheer pink shade along with the clear shade.

What I really like about this is that the sugar scrub and lip balm are in the same package so it takes up less room in your purse or makeup bag but does twice as much. This does mean that the amounts are a bit less, but I have been using mine for over a month now and I still have lots left.

Side note: The frosted side of the packaging is the scrub and the clear side is the balm . . . I finally figured that out after much irritation over constantly opening the wrong side.

First, I take a small fingerful of the sugar scrub and lightly massage it on my lips for about 20 seconds or so. I then wipe this off with a tissue. I highly recommend using a 2 ply tissue or something thick like that because using toilet paper can leave little paper bits on your lips and you don’t want that getting in the lip balm. Clinique recommends that the sugar scrub should be used up to three times per week, which makes sense given it removes dead skin cells and dry flakes but lips are still sensitive and shouldn’t be over-exfoliated. After the sugar scrub, I spread a generous amount of the moisturizing balms on my lips. Luckily this balm can be used whenever your lips are feeling a little dry.

The balm provides a really sheer and light tint. I was a little disappointed that the balm was not nearly as tinted as I thought it would be, and that the pigmentation stayed on my finger longer than it did on my lips. However, I would think the darker shades would give lips a darker tint, unless they are all super sheer.

This product retails for CAN $24, which is quite expensive for a lip balm (at least for me) but it is the only product I know of that is dual-sided with a scrub and lip balm. However, in terms of moisturization, the balm was average and so I would probably stick with my Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment because of its heavy-duty moisturizing.

The only issue I have with this product is that I have to use my finger to apply the sugar scrub and lip balm, which isn’t very convenient for on-the-go use because it can get stuck under my nail or make my finger sticky. Plus, you know, germs. I don’t like the idea of them living in my lip balm or sugar scrub. Applying it with a cotton swab does a good job but then I find I waste a lot of product. I really wish it came with a sponge applicator or something, but the adorable cylindrical packaging doesn’t really allow for a hidden applicator anywhere.

Have you tried these sweet pots before??? If yes, which is your favourite shade??? Picture 19

Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate

img_0441

img_0443

img_0444

Good morning!!!

School is almost over so my days are getting busier and busier, but I have been loving this foundation recently and I wanted to share my thoughts on it before finals start 😊😊

Features

  1. Unique dot applicator
  2. 2x the pigmentation
  3. Lightweight
  4. Oil-free
  5. 24-hour full coverage wear
  6. Flawless finish
  7. Contains patented Marc Jacobs’ golden pigments that enable effortless blending
  8. Formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates
  9. 22 shades, ranging from Ivory Light 10 to Cocoa Deep 86

I wear the lightest shade, Ivory Light 10, which is very fair but has pink undertones. Unlike a lot of foundations where the lightest shade is yellow tinged, this one completely matches my skin tone. Plus, this product has two times the pigment of other full coverage foundations, making it unrivaled. The full, matte coverage makes my skin look glowing and flawless. Unlike other foundations that can go without being shaken, I find if I don’t shake this one, it doesn’t apply nearly as well.

The dot applicator makes it super easy to control how much I apply and to customize my coverage. I dot my forehead, nose, cheeks and chin, and then blend. It is best to start with less and blend before adding more so it doesn’t not dry or streak. While you can apply it with a buffing foundation brush, I prefer to use my fingers.

A really neat feature of this foundation is the patented patented Marc Jacobs’ golden pigments. They are wrapped in lecithin, which is biochemically similar to skin, making the foundation blend perfectly into skin. Extracts of sunflower, jojoba, and acacia also add to the blendability.

A huge plus of this product, and the entire Marc Jacobs Beauty brand, is that it does not test on animals. While it is not a vegan line, the majority of the products do not contain animal byproducts.

The only downside I see to this product is the price tag: $69. My mother actually bought this one on her hunt for a foundation and I tried it and fell in love with it. I don’t think I would re-purchase this foundation to add to my everyday makeup routine, but the flawless coverage has shot it to the top of my holiday makeup shopping list.

Have you tried this foundation before??? What did you think of it???

Clean & Clear Invisible Blemish Treatment

img_0500

With the end of spring term only 2 weeks away, stress abounds as midterms come around again and term-long projects and assignments come due. For me, this means that my skin is often more oily, and this can result in pesky little blemishes popping up on my skin. But I have a “Holy Grail” product that I reach for each and every time, and it works like none other: Clean & Clear’s Invisible Blemish Treatment.

Features:

  1. Goes on clear
  2. Oil-free
  3. Works on normal, oily, combination, and sensitive skin
  4. Doesn’t dry out skin
  5. Treats pimples at the pore level
  6. Stays on all day or night
  7. Noticeable results just hours after application
  8. Can be worn under makeup or moisturizer
  9. Convenient travel size (22mL)
  10. Drugstore price tag

The first thing I love about this product is that it goes on clear, compared to most other blemish treatments that have a white or yellow tinge to them upon application or later in the day.

A close second is that I can wear this under makeup during the day or under moisturizer at night so I don’t have to compromise either my morning or evening skin routines because of a blemish.

But here’s the best part: there is noticeable shrinkage in blemish size and decrease in redness within hours of applying it. This is perfect if you see a blemish coming up at night, because one small dab of this and by morning it is drastically reduced or even completely gone.

I have been using this product for a number of years now and it consistently makes it back on my re-purchase list every time I make a trip to a drugstore. I take this little gem with me everywhere I go, and its convenient travel size makes it easy to stash in a purse or backpack. Compared to other blemish treatments, this one is so affordable, and works so fast that I essentially swear by it as my go-to blemish solution.

If you have tried this product before, let me know what you thought of it in the comments below. If you haven’t, I seriously urge you to give it a try and see the results for yourself. It really is amazing!!! Picture 19

Dior’s Diorshow Mascara

img_0430

My goodness, so it has been awhile since I published a post, and I can thank none other than university midterms for that (thanks, no thanks). But with another round of them out of the way, I thought I would return to blogging with a bang and share my new favourite mascara:  Diorshow.

Features

  1. Improved formula with fibres for added lash richness
  2. AIR-LOCK™ wiping system to remove excess mascara from bristles, and reduce the amount of air pushed back into the tube
  3. Stays fresh longer
  4. No clumping or crumbling
  5. Sleek packaging
  6. Formulated without parabens, sulphates, or phthalates
  7. Available in four shades: black, brown, blue, and purple

This mascara made its rounds on the blogosphere about a year ago when the improved formula was released. This new version has an AIR-LOCK™ wiping system designed to remove excess mascara from bristles before application, and to reduce the amount of air pulled into the tube when return want to tube don’t push as much air inside so it stays fresh longer.

This has been a best-selling product since its release in 2002, so I can imagine the challenges faced by makeup artist and Dior Makeup’s creative director Peter Philips: how to update such an iconic product to take in customer complaints without compromising anything consumers love. The reinvented mascara features a conditioning formula with microfibres designed to extend lashes even more with buildable volume.

img_0432As you can see here, the XXL brush definitely lives up to its title.  This brush is so big that end-to-end it reaches all of my eyelashes, meaning each brushstroke evenly coats my lashes. I do find it a bit clumsy to wield when doing my bottom lashes, but it does a fantastic job on coating them and separating them.

img_0435Just to show how massive this brush really is, check it out in comparison to the tube size. That’s right. Admittedly, I think the brush is a tiny bit in foreground, but the size increase is negligible.

My one complaint with this product is I find that it smudges throughout the day, but hey, maybe it’s just me rubbing my eyes because I’m so tired from staying up until the wee hours of the morning studying.

I acquired this mascara from my mother after she tried it once and claimed it didn’t layer well. I didn’t have any issues applying multiple coats to get the thick, voluminous lash look I was after, but there’s individual differences for you. Anywho, I am so grateful that she gifted it to me because it is CAD $34, which is pricy for my budget. Because of this price, I don’t know if I would repurchase it, but I have been using it for several months and a little does go a long way. Plus, because of the AIR-LOCK™ wiping system, it stays fresh from the first use until the last, I don’t see why I would ever replace it prematurely. So maybe I’ll purchase another one when this one is empty . . . maybe. I don’t know. . . maybe.

Have you tried this mascara before??? What did you think of it???

Clinique Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer

  Hello there, lovely readers!!!

Back in September, I reviewed Clinique’s Turnaround Daytime Revitalizing Moisturizer and, while I still use it every morning, I have also been reaching for my sample size of the corresponding Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer. I was really interested to see the difference between the two products, and my skin can always use a little extra hydration overnight.

Features

  1. Allergy-tested
  2. Fragrance-free
  3. Lightweight
  4. Quickly absorbs into skin, with no greasy residue
  5. Does not cause breakouts, even with oily skin
  6. A little goes a long way
  7. Leaves skin healthy and glowing

img_0380-1Before applying this moisturizer, I prep my skin with my nightly skincare routine and substitute this in for the moisturizer component. I apply this to my face and neck, but a little goes a long way so I only use two small dollops. I have been using this since November when I received it in my second Autumn 2015 bonus gift, and I still have some left. I will be needing another jar of it soon but three months is a long time for a sample size to last.

The full size of this product retails for $46, which is definitely pricy, but this is a great lightweight and hyper-hydrating moisturizer. I have raved about Clinique as a brand numerous times in the past, but for good reason because all of their products are oil- and fragrance-free so I can experiment with them without without worrying about irritating my sensitive skin.

The morning after I have used this moisturizer, my skin feels super fresh and hydrated.  Now, as a university student, I occasionally get those pesky 11 wrinkles between my eyebrows, especially during exam time when my brow is often furrowed in studying concentration (yeah, right), but after using this moisturizer for about a week, those lines completely disappear, so even though this product is not marketed as a wrinkle reducer, I have noticed a change in my skin.

This moisturizer offers the trifecta of retexturizing, toning, and plumping of skin, and also reduces sun damage. I have been lucky enough to never have a sun burn, but this moisturizer is a lovely post-sun exposure remedy to any sun damage. Of course, always wear sunscreen.

What is your favourite product in Clinique’s Turnaround range???

Saje Natural Wellness Perfume and Lip Balm

img_0383 img_0390 img_0384 Good evening everyone 🙂 🙂

I love the upmarket beauty brands sold at Sephora as much as the next person, but sometimes I like to try out other, lesser-known brands, particularly ones that only work with natural ingredients. My aunt gifted me a perfume and lip balm from Saje Natural Wellness for Christmas, and I am completely in love with this brand.

Features

  1. Environmentally friendly
  2. Healthy
  3. More supportive of the body’s natural functions than other products
  4. Pure essential oils distilled from a wife variety of fruits, flowers, leaves, trees, and grasses
  5. Pure essential oils only combined with natural-base ingredients
  6. 100% natural products
  7. Free of parabens, SLS, SLES, PEGS, glycols, petrochemicals, synthetic colours and synthetic fragrances.
  8. All ingredients are derived from safe and renewable resources
  9. Packaging is made of recycled paper and recyclable materials
  10. No products are tested on animals
  11. Canadian-owned and operated (So maybe I’m a little biased . . . )
  12. Most products are manufactured locally
  13. Natural remedies to cure a wide variety of ailments, such as a cold, the flu, a headache, and insomnia

I could go on and on about this brand and still have more to say, so I’ll curtail my prattling and delve right into my thoughts on these two products.

The perfume is Goddess: Fulfilling and Heartfelt, Ananda: Confident & Whole, and Shanthi: Serene and Tranquil. The packaging is beautiful, and it is all recyclable so there is no waste. Plus, it features a unique rose quartz rollerball for easy application and to inspire awareness of beauty in oneself and others. This fragrance is meant to connect one with her femininity, to lift spirits, and to instill feelings of love and happiness. With notes of sweet florals, citruses, and vanilla, this is such a lovely and light scent, perfect for everyday wear. Each fragrance is paired with a healing mantra, and the Goddess mantra is “I relax into the gentle power of my feminine being and let all that is good flow through me.” I have been wearing this perfume everyday and its scent gives me a little lift on the rainy days and is calming during lectures where stress typically abounds. I apply a small amount to all my pulse points, behind my ears, along the sides of my neck, and inside my wrists and elbows, as suggested. Of course, you can wear as much or as little as you want, but I wanted to try out their recommendation and see what it was like. I find all of these places to be too much but I do apply it to my pulse points and inside my wrists. Each perfume retails for $29.95, which I think is super reasonable for an all-natural perfume, and its size and rollerball applicator makes it perfect for traveling. And I am so happy that I can type out the ingredients in this lip balm post and pronounce them all!!!

Ingredients: Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil; essential oils of citrus tangerina (tangerine), citrus aurantium amara (neroli), jasminum officinale (jasmine), rosa damascena (rose otto), cananga odorata (ylang ylang), vanilla planifolia (vanilla) alcohol infusion and citrus aurantifolia (lime).

The Sweet Lips Lip Balm doesn’t just have a sweet fennel smell; it has oils of fennel in it. Plus, it retails for $4.95, beating out almost every lip balm I can think of, and it’s 100% natural. My lips really dry out in the winter months, so I have been using this lip balm anywhere from once to five times per day since I received it for Christmas. It does an incredible job of soothing and moisturizing my lips, and completely alleviates any chapping and irritation. I am definitely going to purchase this again when this one runs out, and I might even try out the other ones available. Once again, here is a list of all of the easy to type and pronounce ingredients!!!

Ingredients: Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, cera alba (beeswax), butyrospermum parkii (shea nut) butter, essential oil of foeniculum vulgare (fennel), theobroma cacao (cocoa) butter, stearic acid, tocomin®, stevia rebaudiana (stevia) leaf and aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice.

I’ll type it one more time and then I’ll stop: I am addicted to this brand and I will definitely be having a shop through all their products once my university workload lightens up a little. I would recommend this brand to anyone and everyone, even if you are only looking for one product, because it offers high-quality and affordable products. Besides, why go for synthetic products when you can go for all-natural ones???
